We welcome single adults, married couples, and college students.

Alive began 3 1/2 years ago out of the calling of a handful of ministry leaders and young adults at Franklin Heights Baptist Church in Rocky Mount, Virginia, to better meet the needs of community young adult professionals and college students.

The Alive Ministry loves to embrace visitors but thrives on the consistency of its committed members. Its goal is not to impress with numbers, but to produce genuine disciples.
Our original target demographic was 18-30-year-old single adults but we have evolved and now include married couples, older adults, (they appreciate our style, what can we say?) and single or married adults with children.

We provide childcare!!

So, no one should feel "weird" trying us out. If you don't feel you "fit in," we'll point you to a more suitable ministry :)
